What You can Expect
Fale Yau – Our Home is Your Home Fale Yau is a large family home, with pool. It’s a short walk to the museum, Albert Park, the CBD, restaurants & bars. All bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, ceiling fans & air con. It’s ideal for business travelers: WiFi, printer, meeting spaces, safes and the hosts will facilitate your needs. Breakfast is included and other meals are available on request or cook your own. Help yourself to the 24/7 kitchen fridge. This is also the home for 2 dogs and 2 cats.
The space
This is a large family home and our guests can access all areas on the ground floor: Kitchen, Sitting Room, Dining Room and a veranda with an adjacent swimming pool.
It is decorated in Litia’s unique style which is a combination of style and comfort. She has taken a mixture of English/Fijian, Old/New that has welcomed friends and family to our home for years and now welcomes our guests.
During your stay
My wife and I live next to the kitchen so we will be around to help you with anything you need during your stay and always enjoy a good yarn with our guests. When we are not at home our house-keeper, Litia will be present.
Other things to note
There are 2 cats and 2 dogs in the house. All are friendly. The dogs may bark a little on arrival but will settle down as soon as they are introduced. They are also very nosy, so if you leave your bedroom door open, expect a visit.
Extra Expenses
The only extra guests pay for is an evening meal or ironing. Other extras are included in the nightly rate
Amenities
Your room will be cleaned daily and sheets and towels will be changed twice a week. If you need them changing more frequently this can be arranged.
Laundry is also done daily, leave your dirty clothes in the basket and they will typically be returned to you the next day. This is included in the price, if you need something ironed there will be a small charge.
Wi-Fi is available throughout the house. Typically it is fast as it is delivered on fibre optic cable. During Covid lock down guests were working from home and the internet was up to the task.
We provide a tropical breakfast every day. This includes local fruit, cereals, toast, yoghurt and eggs. If you would like a cooked breakfast that can be arranged at an extra cost. We also have a wide range of teas and coffees available to
If you would like an evening meal you can share our supper. Let us know if the morning so we can prepare enough the price will vary depending on the dish.
The bedrooms have their own fridge and a safe. You have access to the kitchen Fridge 24/7 It is free. If you finish something please let us know.
Help yourself to drinks including coffee, tea, bottled water through the day. If you are hungry help yourself to fruit or make a snack from the kitchen fridge.
