The Fiji Museum is at the bottom of the hill on the left. On the premises is the Ginger Kitchen where you can get coffee, breakfasts and some delicious cakes.
Thurston Gardens is adjacent to the Museum and is a peaceful place to walk or sit.
Paradiso is opposite the Fiji Museum at the very top of Albert Park. It is Suva’s only Italian restaurant and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Coffee is served all day long.
Located on the Northern Edge of Albert Park is Government Buildings. This includes Parliament, the Courts and some Government ministries.
At the western end of Albert Park you will find the Grand Pacific Hotel and the Holiday Inn. The road here is Victoria Parade and this will take you directly into Suva’s Central Business District and all the major shops.
For the active
There are some beautiful walks to be taken along the sea wall. Walk to the end of Albert Park and turn left. There are 100m markings on the pavement so it’s easy to keep track of your distances. If you want a walk with some hills and a bit of variety we can give you a map.
The Metro Gym is only 100m away along Williamson Rd.
